French fashion house Louis Vuitton was founded in 1854 and has since become inherent with a luxury lifestyle. The label started by solely making travel trunks and cases, and by 1888 these featured the now-iconic brown check motif, with the monogrammed ‘LV’ symbol following suit with its patent in 1914.
Helmed by Nicolas Ghesquière and offering a wide selection of women’s ready-to-wear, signature bags and must-have accessories, and with menswear now under the artistic direction of Virgil Abloh, Louis Vuitton is recognized today for forward-thinking design and impressive collaborative collections.
