USM Referral & Rewards Program Rules
These rules explain how USM Points are earned, when they become usable, how referrals work, how reward merchandise is selected and redeemed, and what happens when an order is cancelled, refunded, failed, or placed into Manual Review.
1. Quick Start โ How the Program Works
- Create or sign in to your USM customer account.
- Earn USM Points through eligible daily visits, a saved birthday, qualifying merchandise purchases, and qualifying referral milestones.
- Watch your Points History. Available points can be used; Pending points are still in a protection period; Manual Review points require an authorized USM administrator decision.
- Choose a reward goal: 10,000 Standard, 25,000 Premium, 50,000 Elite, or 100,000 Signature.
- When you have enough Available points, choose an eligible live reward, select any required colorway/variation, and redeem. USM creates a tracked $0 reward-fulfillment order.
2. Ways to Earn USM Points
| Activity | Reward | Important Rules |
|---|---|---|
| Authenticated daily visit | +5 points | First authenticated USM visit per calendar day. |
| Birthday | +250 points | Once per calendar year on the saved month/day. Birthday is customer-set once; corrections go through support. |
| Qualifying physical merchandise | $1 = 1 point | Whole-dollar eligible merchandise value after discounts. Shipping, tax, memberships, and reward/redemption items do not earn ordinary purchase points. Purchase points use an 8-day protection hold before becoming Available. |
Points are recorded in USM’s digital rewards ledger. A visible Lifetime Earned figure is informational; only the current Available balance can be spent.
3. Refer & Earn
Registered customers receive a private USM Referral ID and personal share link. The share link carries the referral ID; it does not publish the referrer’s stored email address, phone number, or account name.
| Referred-customer milestone | Referrer earns | Protection period |
|---|---|---|
| Referred person legitimately joins The Vault | 3,000 points | 14 days unless placed into Manual Review |
| Referred person legitimately joins TUS Wholesale Club | 5,000 points | 14 days unless placed into Manual Review |
| Referred person makes their first qualifying merchandise purchase | 10,000 points once | 8 days unless placed into Manual Review |
The 10,000-point merchandise milestone is once per unique referred person, not once per order. Later purchases by the same referred shopper do not create another 10,000-point referral award. A different referred person can independently unlock the milestone.
4. Referral Entry, Attribution & Self-Referral
- A referral may be captured from a valid personal share link or entered/updated in the referral controls in cart/checkout before the order is sealed.
- After an order seals the referral attribution, ordinary customer editing of that attribution stops.
- Obvious self-referral is blocked, including same account and supported exact identity checks.
- Invalid referral IDs fail safely without revealing another customer’s personal information.
- A referral capture cookie/session may retain a valid referral ID for up to 30 days unless removed earlier or cleared after the attributed order is sealed.
5. Pending, Available & Manual Review
- Available: spendable USM Points.
- Pending: earned but still inside the applicable protection hold; not spendable yet.
- Manual Review: held for an authorized USM administrator to review; it is not automatically treated as fraud and is not included in Available points.
- Rejected/Void: not spendable. A void may result from cancellation, failure, refund, duplicate protection, or an authorized administrative action.
A same-household billing-address/postcode match is a Manual Review signal, not an automatic fraud finding. An authorized USM administrator may Approve, Reject, or Void a Manual Review item and must record a reason. Approval may move the award into its normal Pending protection period rather than making it instantly Available.
6. Reward Tiers & Catalog
| Tier | Points required |
|---|---|
| Standard | 10,000 |
| Premium | 25,000 |
| Elite | 50,000 |
| Signature | 100,000 |
- You are never forced to redeem at the first tier you reach. You may continue saving for a higher tier.
- Reward collections are controlled by USM and can be assigned dynamically by parent category, child category, or individual product.
- Catalog assignments, product availability, colorways, sizes, and inventory may change. An item must still be published, eligible, and in stock at the time of redemption.
7. How Redemption Works
- Open the Rewards Catalog and select a tier/collection.
- Choose an eligible reward product.
- If the product has variations, choose the required colorway/variation.
- The system verifies your Available balance. Pending or Manual Review points cannot be spent.
- On a successful redemption, the exact tier cost is deducted once and a tracked WooCommerce reward-fulfillment order is created at $0.00 for the chosen reward item/variation.
- Reward items do not earn ordinary $1 = 1 purchase points.
8. Cancellations, Refunds, Failures & Reversals
- If an order that generated Pending referral or purchase points is cancelled, fails, or is fully refunded before eligibility, the affected points may be voided.
- If already-Available referral points must be reversed because the underlying qualifying event is later reversed, USM may post an auditable negative adjustment.
- If a reward-fulfillment order is cancelled, failed, or refunded, the redeemed tier points are restored once through an auditable restoration entry. The same reward order cannot restore the same points repeatedly.
- Duplicate clicks and duplicate event keys are protected against double spending and duplicate awards.
9. No Cash Payout
USM Points are a promotional loyalty value used only inside the USM Referral & Rewards program. They are not cash, are not a bank or stored-value account, and are not redeemable for cash payout. Points are used to unlock controlled reward merchandise and approved program benefits.
10. Program Integrity & Account Responsibility
- Keep your account credentials secure and provide accurate information.
- Do not create self-referrals, duplicate identities, fabricated transactions, or other activity intended to manufacture rewards.
- USM may place questionable awards into Manual Review, reject or void ineligible awards, reverse points tied to reversed transactions, and preserve an audit record of those actions.
- Program controls are intended to protect legitimate customers as well as USM. A review signal by itself is not a declaration of fraud.
11. Changes to the Program
USM may change reward values, catalog assignments, qualifying activities, protection periods, program features, or these rules prospectively as business needs change, subject to applicable law. Current terms are posted on this page. Material operational changes should be reflected in the live Program Rules, Terms & Conditions, and Privacy Policy.
12. Privacy & Support
The program uses referral IDs, account/user identifiers, order attribution, milestone/event records, point ledger entries, and limited review signals such as matching billing address/postcode when reasonably necessary to operate and protect the program. See the Privacy Policy for details.
